pillO — Privacy Policy

Kamell Labs ("we", "us", or "our") operates the pillO mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our Service:

Account information: Email address and display name when you create an account.
Profile information: Age range, gender, height, weight, country, and health context you voluntarily provide. We collect age ranges (e.g., 25–34), never your exact birthdate.
Medication data: Medication names, doses, schedules, and adherence logs you enter into the app.
Usage data: App interactions, XP points, streaks, and feature usage for gamification purposes.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore), which encrypts data in transit and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Health Data

pillO is a medication reminder tool. We do not store medical diagnoses, prescriptions, or clinical health records. Medication names and schedules you enter are stored solely for reminder and adherence tracking purposes. We never share your medication data with third parties.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data (with no personally identifiable information) for research or business development purposes.

We use the following third-party services:

Google Firebase: Authentication and database storage
Google Analytics: Anonymous usage analytics

Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data at any time (available in Settings → Sign out → Delete account)
Export your data in CSV format (available in Settings → Export history)
Withdraw consent at any time

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

Notifications

pillO requests permission to send push notifications for medication reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or within the app under Settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
